I hold BSc and MSc degrees in Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences. My interest in air pollution began during an undergraduate research project and has been the focus of my work ever since. Although I have spent many years studying urban air quality, I now have the opportunity to investigate the Amazon and the unique complexities of a large tropical rainforest.
My work primarily focuses on aerosols, particularly their chemical composition, emission sources, and health effects. At the same time, I am always seeking opportunities to learn and develop new skills. At LFA, I provide technical support for the GAIA project. My responsibilities include overseeing the development of measurements and experiments, ensuring the operation and maintenance of instrumentation, managing the collection and processing of environmental samples, and conducting laboratory analyses.
